2. Invoke the Holy Spirit by softly singing and feeling in your heart  the song,  Spirit of the Living God Â
3. Listen to God, through Hoseas 11:1-4, and to feel that He is speaking to you, be aware of the following:
- Try to attain an empty, open, calm, , soul without anxiety, serenely expectant for it is the Lord who will come to your encounter, in his Word.• Try to attain an empty, open, calm, , soul without anxiety, serenely expectant for it is the Lord who will come to your encounter, in his Word.
- Read slowly, very slowly, with frequent pauses, thinking that God is speaking to you, at this moment, through the words you are reading.
- Substitute your own  name for the proper names  that appear in the reading, thinking and feeling that God is speaking to you directly  using your own  name.
- In one phrase summarize what God is saying to you
When Israel was a child I loved him, out of Egypt I called my son.
The more I called them, the farther they went from me;
sacrificing to the Baals and burning incense to idols.
Yet it was I who taught Ephraim to walk, who took them in my arms;
but they did not know that I cared for them.
I drew them with human chords, with bands of love;
I fostered them like those Who raise an infant to their cheeks;
I bent down to feed them.
4. Respond to God.
- Write Him a letter responding to what he has said to you through Hosea
- Write everything you wish to tell him at this moment
- Now, read to God what you wrote in your prayer
Finish this moment of encounter with the following prayer:
Lord, I’m in Your Hands
Tim Weeks
Lord, I’m in your hands.
Lord, I’m in your heart.
In your thoughts,
In your plans,
Never on my own.
Lord, I’m in your hands.
Lord, I’m in your heart.
In your thoughts,
In your plans,
Never left alone.
And when the darkness closes in
and fear begins to rise,
help me to remember
You’re always by my side.
Lord, I’m in your hands.
Lord, I’m in your heart.
In your thoughts,
In your plans,
Never on my own.
Lord, I’m in your hands.
Lord, I’m in your heart.
In your thoughts,
In your plans,
Never left alone, never left alone.
